Want Something Delicious for Lunch?

One of the biggest obstacles to losing fat, is the idea that you must count calories and give up eating tasty delicious REAL food.  This is not true.  You CAN lose fat, and eat yummy flavorful food.  Combined with a great workout routine, circuit training, and proper amounts of sleep, good nutrition is a key factor.

You can still enjoy your favorite food.  Do you like seafood?  Try a Shrimp Salad with chopped celery, cucumber, fat-free yogurt and season to taste.  How about an herbed Egg White Omelet with spinach and diced low fat ham, or a Frittata made with potato and spinach?  For a more filling low fat lunch try a pasta salad with tuna or a baked potato with a homemade veggie chili topping?  An excellent and deliciously filling low fat lunch is Black Bean Salad, with corn, green onions, corn, bell pepper, avocado, pimento, tomatoes and lemon juice in a bowl. Add and toss garlic, salt and pepper.  Turkey or ham are fine for a low fat lunch, and can be added to recipes with more zing to them.  Low fat does NOT have to mean low flavor!

You are going to be good to yourself, and make sure that you have a good healthy breakfast in the morning, and stick to your workout routine.  Working out, doing your job, tending your family and friends, you deserve something flavorful and filling for lunch.  A good lunch will keep you from eating things that are not beneficial to you.  It is important to consider that factor when working on your diet.  A healthy breakfast WILL help you avoid the donut at 11AM and the candy bar at 3PM.

Unless you are a vegetarian, don’t be afraid of meat.  Meat is an excellent source of protein.  The protein found in meat, contains all of the essential amino acids, in the proper proportions required by the body for the most optimum growth of lean muscle.  The key in burning enough calories to lose weight is maintaing LEAN muscle weight.

Maintaining a full on exercise and diet program is not a walk in the park, but it’s not terribly difficult either.  Eating well will help you stick to your plan.  A Cambridge personal trainer can help you fine tune your objectives and be a source of ideas for delicious healthy eating habits.  Once you are in the habit of eating well, you will forgo the need to count calories.

So, shop wisely, workout, and eat good delicious food.  Yes, you can.
